Sam Newstone sent this in:
I was at The Bash, and just got home. I sat in the second row ringside on one side of the ring, right where HHH was knocked over the barricade during his match (so I was on the same side as the wide camera).
In the dark match, R-Truth defeated Shelton Benjamin in about three minutes. They could have gone on much longer, but just kind of stuffed most of their signature moves into the time limit.
Hope this helps your coverage! I'll also be posting about the show and my experience at my website: http://rantables.wordpress.com/
The following is also from Les Shifler of ProWrestling.net:
I estimated the crowd at 14,000, with partial of the upper deck tarped off; capacity is 17,100. It was total bullshit that they did not let the crowd into the place until 4; there were about two thousand people waiting to get in at 103 degree heat; we were really pissed off! They could have at least let us in at 3:30, since the parking lot opened at 3:00. Linda McMahon will get an email from me. Security says it was the WWE's fault, and not the Maloofs (the Sacramento Kings owners).
Total no heat/pops for Michelle McCool and for C.M. Punk......it was really silent!
Big pops for Hunter, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Melina.
I don't think that the Punk match made him a heel, not quite yet. He is going to have to do something really bad.
I don't think that I would have paid for the PPV based on my experience; it could have been a lot better. Especially since they teased Ted DiBiase breaking up with Randy Orton, yet Hunter got no help, and the final match just did not do it for me, even with Randy winning.
I was hoping that Vince McMahon would come out and equalize Legacy, then make it a halfway fair fight...then Randy could have still won.
