Show:
Before the show begins, a vignette is played of Batista’s injuring at the hands of Mark Henry, as well as his subsequent relinquishing of his title, further hyping Big Dave’s impending return TONIGHT.

Number One Contender Match
Battle Royal

The start:
As always, it’s a free for all. 90 seconds in and there’s really nothing interesting going on. 3 minutes in and Super Crazy is the first one out followed almost immediately by Psicosis and they continue to fight outside the ring. It looks like Kid Kash got tossed out right before commercial. It appears as though nobody else is missing, and Scotty is about to deliver the worm but Kennedy clotheslines him. Hardy almost eliminates Finlay. Kendrick & London are double teaming Noble. Noble is tossed by Dean.

Mid-match notes:
Dean is tossed by Funaki, and Kennedy tosses Funaki. Scotty is tossed by Booker. All this within 30 seconds. London & Kendrick double team Kennedy and are booed in the process. Kennedy is tossed and the fans boo. Regal is still in, along with the tag champs, Finlay, Hardy & Booker T. The action is a little slow with multiple double teams going on. Booker tosses London but London holds on. Finlay almost tosses London, London holds on again, but Finlay follows up and tosses London. Kendrick is right behind him. Hardy tosses Finlay, big ovation. Hardy, Regal and Booker are the only ones left.

The Finish:
Side effect to Booker by Hardy. Hardy goes to toss him. Regal is out. Regal comes to and attacks Hardy. Bulldog by Hardy on Booker. Hardy hits a double clothesline on Regal and Booker. Hardy is close to tossing Booker but Regal attacks Hardy from behind and Hardy is out. All men are down. Regal goes to toss Hardy out and Regal is leaving his feet slightly as Hardy tries to hold on. Booker comes from behind and tosses them both.

Winner: Booker T

The Aftermath:
Booker celebrates and acts very emotional as he reflects upon his triumph as Regal gets on the mic and does his “all hail king Booker” bit.

Backstage:
Backstage, Kristal interviews Rey Mysterio says that last week, Mark Henry disrespected Chavo and the Guerrero family, and apologizes to Chavo for not helping him when Chavo called for him in the ring. He says that he & Henry have unfinished business. He then talks about facing King Booker, and he says that every day that he brings the World Title home, he realizes that it is a gift and a blessing, and it has the biggest ride of his life. He concludes by saying that at the Bash, Booker is just a move away from the 6…1…9.

In the arena:
In the ring, Sylvan makes his way to the squared circle, as the ambassador of Quebec, as JBL verbally runs down Quebec AND Canada, the bastard. Sylvan introduces himself, and personally invites Philadelphia, and everyone watching, to visit Quebec. He speaks French (of which I am currently a student of) for a bit, accompanied by some fantastic pictures of Quebec…and that’s it. Huh? Valuable minutes wasted on nothing more than filler. Quebec may be cool, but that was worth nothing! But here’s The Miz, who pumps up the crowd, and says that Batista will call out Mark Henry tonight!

Mr. Kennedy vs. Super Crazy
Referee: Charles Robinson

The start:
Before he can get the word Kennedy out of his mouth, Super Crazy runs to the ring, only to eat a lariat from Kennedy, who is furious at the insane luchador. Kennedy whips him out of the ring, and pummels Crazy around the outside of the ring for a 2-count on the inside. Kennedy peppers Crazy with some stiff shots, but Crazy fires back and gets a tilt-a-whirl head scissors, but gets hit with another lariat.

Mid-match notes:
Kennedy gets in a headlock, as the crowd chants “Boring”, and Crazy gets hit with a running knee to the gut after escaping the headlock. Kennedy works the head with some kicks followed by a chinlock, but Crazy gets a near-fall with an inside cradle. Kennedy hits a body slam on Crazy, but gets caught in an attempt to hit a running splash, but is able to come back with some more smash-mouth offense, followed by another chinlock!

The Finish:
Kennedy gets a mat slam, but Crazy fires back with an arm drag, and a dropkick, followed by a plancha to the outside. Back inside, Crazy gets a Russian leg sweep, and goes for the moonsault, but Psicosis distracts him long enough for Kennedy to hit an electric chair drop, followed up by the Kenton Bomb for the win!

Winner: Mr. Kennedy

Backstage:
Backstage, we find Kristal telling some random guy that she should have slapped the hell out of Ashley, but whoops, there’s the camera! Tatanka comes up for his mike time, and says he is afraid of his opponent, The Great Khali. But he says he will face his fear, with the courage of a great Native American Warrior.

Backstage:
Also backstage, Daivari tells some unseen men to wheel out a casket that he brandishes.

The Great Khali vs. Tatanka
Referee: Nick Patrick

As we return, we see Daivari’s casket next to the ring, as he introduces The Great Khali. Daivari says that Undertaker’s career will be buried if he faces Khali at the Bash, and that Tatanka will also be buried tonight.

The match:
Khali boots Tatanka off the apron as he enters, and Khali whips Tatanka into the steel post. Back inside, Khali hits the Release Choke bomb on Tatanka, and his music plays, so I suppose it’s a No Contest.

Winner: No Contest

The Aftermath:
Khali goozles Tatanka, but suddenly, white smoke erupts from the casket, and the lights dim. Then, the voice of the Undertaker accepts Khali’s challenge, and Khali will REST IN PEACE.

Vito vs. Psicosis
Referee: Charles Robinson

The start:
They lock up, and quickly break, and freaks out Psicosis by flashing his…chest. Vito grabs a headlock, hits a shoulder block, and reveals his nether regions by lifting his legs. Psicosis hits a spinning forearm smash for a 2-count, and we get another blurry view of Vito’s thong. Psicosis hits a vertical suplex for another 2, but Vito comes back with some stiff punches and a back body drop followed by a body slam. Vito hits a second-rope splash, follows it up with The Macarena (the actual dance), but gets hit with a clothesline by Psicosis.

The Finish:
Psicosis gets a camel clutch, but Vito hits a vertical suplex, followed by an elbow smash for a 2 count. Vito hits the turnbuckle hard, and Psicosis takes him down for another 2 count. Super Crazy walks down the aisle, effectively distracting Psicosis, who gets hit with the Impaler DDT, followed by the Cross-Dress Chicken Wing for the win (not the official name, just my name for the chicken wing with the head up the dress move).

Winner: Vito

Backstage:
Backstage, Booker says that he will soon be KING OF THE WORLD, and toasts some champagne.

The Pitbulls vs. Funaki and Scotty Too Hotty
Referee: Chris Kay

The start:
Noble goes right after Funaki with some stiff stomps, but gets hit with a crossbody for a 2-count. Noble tags out, and they hit a double shoulder block. Kash pounds on Funaki, and tags in Noble, as they both put the pressure on Funaki. Noble stomps Funaki in the corner, and stops a comeback from Funaki before tagging out to Kash, who hits a front belly-to-back suplex.

The Finish:
Funaki comes back with a release sunset flip, but gets hit with a clothesline, and Noble tags in, only to miss a charge, and Scotty tags in, teeing off on both Pitbulls, and hits a swinging neckbreaker for a 1-count, and Funaki hits a bulldog face crusher on Kash. Noble then hits a lung blower on Funaki, and the Pitbulls hit the top-rope clothesline/powerbomb combination for the win.

Winners: The Pitbulls

Backstage:
After the United States Title Match for the Bash is announced (Lashley defends against Finlay & William Regal), we see Regal & Finlay conversing backstage, as the Little Bastard humps Regal’s leg, and Finlay chases after him.

Cruiserweight Champ:
In a pre-recorded interview, Helms says he is the longest reigning champ in the WWE, and that if Bobby Lashley really is Superman, then Helms is his Kryptonite (Props for the Superman reference)…

Non Title Match
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Gregory Helms (c)
Referee: Nick Patrick

The start:
Lashley flips Helms, and hits a snap belly-to-belly suplex. Helms fires some right hands, and gets hit with another suplex, followed by a big clothesline, and a 20-second delayed vertical suplex. Lashley hits the clothesline in the corner, but Helms reverses the running powerslam, and hits a jumping neckbreaker for 2.

The Finish:
Helms gets a rear naked choke, but Lashley just lifts him, and hits a sidewalk slam out of the choke. Lashley hits a back body drop, but Helms goes to the top rope, but Lashley hits the running powerslam out of the military press position for the victory.

Winner: The United States Champion, Bobby Lashley

Backstage:
Backstage, Mark Henry says he is sick of hearing about Batista, and he says that he is the reason that Batista was out in the first place. Henry says that tonight will be the longest whooping and the shortest comeback in wrestling history. Batista’s comeback, it’s next!

In the arena:
The electric guitar hits, and here comes Batista, ready to fight!!! After the normal entrance, Batista enters the ring to an amazing reaction, the Animal does what he said he would: “Mark Henry, get out here now!” The World’s Strongest Man stalks toward the ring, but Henry balks at Batista, and walks away. Rey Mysterio then comes out from the back, and tries to attack Henry, but Henry is distracted long enough for Batista to strike! Batista clotheslines him down, and throws Henry into the steel steps, unhinging the top step! Batista uncaps a whaling not seen since 2003, and slams the steel steps right into Mark Henry’s forehead! Referees and officials try to contain the Animal, but Batista grabs a steel chair, and unloads on Henry, as the show comes to a close!
