WWE's Night of Champions was initially Jeff Hardy's final event before taking a break, as it was originally planned for CM Punk to win. The decision for Hardy to win the match and become the new World Heavyweight Champion was decided recently and indicates that he will be with the company through SummerSlam.

that great news!Hardy is well deserving of a "REAL" championship run,and this should prove to WWE that he can carry the ball.I just hope they don't bring another Hardy vs. Hardy storyline up again because that was rather stale!
