The Irish actor plays a doctor who, while visiting Berlin with his wife, is left comatose by a car accident. He awakens to find that he seemingly has been replaced by another man, one with sinister intentions, leading the good doctor on a frantic quest to uncover the truth.
Jaume Collet-Serra will direct the Dark Castle/Warner Bros. project from a script by Karl Gajdusek. Shooting is due to begin in January in Berlin.
Neeson has been on a professional tear since the surprise success earlier this year of the French-produced action thriller "Taken." He is playing Zeus in a remake of "Clash of the Titans," and will revive George Peppard's role as "Hannibal" Smith in Fox's big-screen version of "The A-Team."
Neeson next stars in "Chloe," the thriller from Atom Egoyan set to premiere next month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
