Just some quick observations of Monday Night Raw before I hit the sack as I will be flying, courtesy of Southwest Airlines, Tuesday morning to Kansas City for Smackdown and Superstars business. I might even sample some of KC's famous "Q." The last time I was in KC, my Sooners were winning their 3rd consecutive Big 12 Championship at Arrowhead Stadium but that's another story for another time.

Before we start, this blog will likely be ripped a part because I earn a good portion of my living from WWE and I liked Raw for the most part. Let me assure you that no one at WWE asked me to write my observations nor do I seriously doubt if they care. With that said, if you choose to call me a shill then have at it but I require that you buy some BBQ Sauce or some Ketchup if you do.

I thought Freddie Prinze, Jr did an excellent job as the Guest Host of Raw and I'm sure that FPJ will be talking about the inverted backbreaker that he sustained for years to come with his Hollywood pals. Freddie is a true fan of which I respect. I wish I had gotten to know him better when he was on the creative team with WWE but we traveled different trails during the hectic TV days when I would see him. Nonetheless, FPJ is 2nd only to Shaq as my favorite Guest Host of Monday Night Raw.

Shaq is still "The Man." Well, Ric Flair is still "The Man" but you know what I mean. Naitch and I exchanged text messages today as he is going to join me in the Wahoo McDaniel interview that will be out this fall in a local OU publication.

Next week, the uber talented and charismatic Floyd "Money" Mayweather will look to steal the show in Money's home town of Las Vegas. Perhaps the SD team will produce our solitary, WWE Superstars bout in Vegas Monday night and yours truly can enjoy Raw in person. Hey, we got to visit Calgary for a few minutes before we enjoyed a lovely 3 hour drive to Edmonton.

BTW someone in the WWE Universe wrote some really ignorant remarks to my WWE.com blog that is posted every Thursday on the Smackdown page declaring that I was bitter, angry, etc for not being on Raw any longer and that was the reason that I "knocked" Raw..blah...blah...blah. Hey, buddy, I play for the SD team now. I got traded. I changed addresses. I am loyal to my "team." The MONEY IS THE SAME. Smackdown is a good show. Some fans even like SD better than Raw. I did have some withdrawal issues when the abrupt changing of the guard occurred but I GOT OVER IT. I suggest that you do the same. Thanks and don't forget to tip your servers.

REMEMBER....THE MONEY IS THE SAME.

(Perhaps it isn't enough but it's the same.)

Yes....that was a blatant attempt to lobby for more cash on my next contract if that does indeed occur. I would tell you more if I had a 900# or a premium section of this site but I don't so.....

Summerslam is this Sunday on PPV. It's in LA. I just thought I would throw that in even though I don't know the complete card. I don't have to as I get in for free.

I heard that WWE had over 300 rooms at various hotels in LA reserved which means that a bunch of corporate types will be doing some serious mingling in Los Angeles this weekend. I think it is called "networking."

Seriously, the WWE has major plans for the Summerslam weekend and it is the most ambitious Summerslam that I can remember. I am doing something "special" very early Sunday morning but I have been promised to secrecy.

Damn, I need a premium site. I can even smell the money.

I personally enjoyed the DX business Monday night. It was funny when it was supposed to be along with being dramatic and surprising. The match pitting DX vs. Orton/Rhodes at Summerslam now has much more significance. Legacy needed a night like they had in Saint Louie.

What match will close the show at Summerslam? Me thinks it will be John Cena challenging Randy Orton for the WWE Title. I'm smelling a Cena victory here but my predictions usually aren't wager worthy.

A job well done and a tip of the black hat for the St. Louis fans as they seemed to really enhance the broadcast Monday night.

No, Jerry Lawler's shirt that he wore on Raw was NOT from the Monique collection. The man that could be the next Mayor of Memphis, Tennessee happens to make a nice living on WWE TV wearing his T shirts of distinction. I may move to Memphis just so I can vote for The King.

Today I had an idea...don't laugh...I actually have them quite often. I wanted to try a BBQ'ed, Philly Cheese Steak Wrap so I went to our BBQ joint and had the kitchen prepare me one. Sliced brisket, grilled onions and red, bell peppers with melted Swiss cheese in a wrap and it was extraordinary especially when I drizzled some of our JR's Original BBQ Sauce on it. Wow. It's not even on the menu but it might become a lunch special.

We are contemplating starting an "early bird" menu to be in effect Monday-Wednesday evening for a specified period of time featuring some super specials at a low, low price.

Yes-sir we promised you a great main event...I have shilled for WWE Raw AND hyped my BBQ products....all in one, short blog. The humanity of it all.

One last thing, a suggestion for Raw would be to have more, longer matches but I am "old school" which, like the American Buffalo, puts me on the endangered species list. Fewer matches that last longer would make me smile....almost....Bells palsy, remember?

BTW....one last, last thing....I think WWE should think of producing a Brock Lesnar DVD. Why wouldn't they? Lots of folks in the biz would love to comment on Brock and WWE has tons of footage including the early, early days of Brock's career in OVW in Louisville. I'm just saying.

Boomer Sooner!
