I just got back not too long ago from the WWE Raw house show. It was a great show, the place was about 65% - 70% full. Tony Chimmel comes out to a great ovation, think the ovation was people were glad the show was starting.
First Match: Evan Bourne defeated Chavo Guerrero with the distraction of Hornswoggle.
Second Match: Primo defeated some guy named Alex Riley, who supposedly lived here 10 years ago, beating people up and stealing their lunch money. At least that is the promo he cut.
Third Match: Chris Masters defeated Santino with the Master lock. Santino was hilarious asking the fans if they wanted him to punch Masters in the face, the fans cheered loudly then he says to Masters consider your face punched. He also put the Master lock on Masters himself but Masters powered out and put Santino in the Master lock.
Fourth Match: Triple Threat match for the US Title. Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger & the Miz. This was a great match and a great performance from all 3 men. Miz cut a promo on he stole the US Title on Raw and said he was the true champion. Kofi pinned Swagger for the win as the Miz walked out with the title belt while Kofi was pinning Swagger.
There was a brief intermission and when Chimmel came back he brought in 2 kids from the audience to throw T-shirts in the audience.
Fifth match: Alicia Fox defeated Rosa Mendez. This match was ok but the audience wasn't into it all that much, mostly quiet during the match.
Sixth Match: Legacy defeated MVP & Mark Henry. Legacy came off with a lot of heel heat during this match while MVP & Henry got a good pop from the fans. DiBiase pinned MVP for the win. There were a lot of DX chants. HHH was a no show for today's show, probably because he is with Mayweather for the fight tonight. Fans were very disappointed with no HHH.
Main Event was for the WWE Title: John Cena defeated Randy Orton in the best match of the day. Cena got a huge pop from the fans. An Austin/Hogan like pop. A very pro Cena crowd. Orton got lots of heel heat from the crowd. Orton dominated the match but like a true fighting champion Cena makes the come back and avoids getting the punt to the head and nails Orton with Attitude Adjustment (aka FU).
A couple of notes. A teenager got kicked out for cussing at Jack Swagger. That was a first for me, probably has to due with the WWE being PG. Also my brother noticed at the concession stand they were selling Bret Hart T-shirts. That puzzled us both since the guy hasn't worked for the WWE in nearly 12 years.
