Yes, yes, yet anothernews story about the oh-so-obvious forthcoming Wii price drop. But hold on, folks, because this one at least adds a little more to the plot than just another leaked sales sheet: Nintendojo reports (via Kotaku) that Nintendo has finally made the price drop official during a retailer conference call, pegging it to take effect on September 27. Now, for what sounds like an official confirmation, this is peculiarly not very official yet: Nintendojo says they had someone listening into the call, but Nintendo stillhasn't made any announcements publicly. But if this report is to be believed (and it sure sounds likely enough given all the evidence so far), then this at least gives us a hard date to look toward, as the leaked sales sheets so far haven't narrowed down when the price drop would take effect. So, now all that's left to do is wait until September 27 to see what happens, and probably write about another leak about this price drop at some point before then.
