View Full Version : WWE PPV's Overall Fail In Buyrate

WWE has released the buyrate information for their SummerSlam, Night of Champions and Breaking Point PPVs of 2009. The numbers are as follows:

-WWE Night of Champions drew 267,000 buys, which is an increase from the 196,000 buys that "The Bash" did last year.

-WWE SummerSlam drew 369,000 buys which is down from the previous year's 477,000 buys.

-WWE Breaking Point drew 169,000 buys which is down from the previous year's draw of 211,000 buys for the company's "Unforgiven" PPV.

Just to much to much is going on and they're not really showing anything that's worth watching anymore I guess they are pretty bad numbers but its to many ppvs.

one ppv every two months would have higher ratings but i think in a year 12 would still bring in more money then 6 and yes there isnt much worth watching anymore iv started watching again the past month after not for over a year and im finding it hard to get back into

I think the host thing sometimes good but Ozzy this week was bad I love his music, but on a PG show he cant be himself. Is vince really shocked people r not buying WWE offers nothing worth buying.

I think the guest host gimmick is fine as it is. Its not going to change anything really. maybe bring in a couple news fans over the course of however long it lasts.

The guest host gimmick isn't doing any damage at all, it's a decent draw and has the potential to bring in new fans every week.

well in all fairness.. high priced ppvs + poor quality of the entertainment = fuck all buys
