What a glorious day in the state of Nebraska where tonight the Cornhuskers host the Oklahoma Sooners in Lincoln. We are staying in Omaha and driving over to Lincoln later this afternoon. I'm happy and excited to be seeing my first ever game at Nebraska which is a place known to have classy fans.
We have three, new offers now on line for you. Each comes with FREE SHIPPING and are all priced under $20. Please check them out today and we'll start shipping again on Monday.
Here'a some BBQ'ed random thoughts.....
WWE had another successful live event in Belgium Friday night garnering another sell out w/ approximately 7,000 fans on hand.
WWE's controlled growth as they continue to grow their brand internationally seems to be the way to go. Systematic, organized touring based on demnd for tickets and the power and productivity of their TV partners are two key elements for this potential lucrative business element. As these TV outlets grow they will bring with them better delivery of PPV events which adds to finding "new monies." International business growth, as I have said for years, is exciting for the WWE brand.
As I wrote earlier in the week, the potential of a WWE Channel is another positive. There are virtually unlimited ways to create new programming notwithstanding the Legends Roundtables, watching DVD releases w/ the talents involved with the production, daily blocks of World Class, AWA, ect has credence. Producing internet "radio shows" along the line of ESPN's Mike and MIke, etc would work. Producing a specfic number of hours of daily programming and then repeating it seems doable. The potential is really limitless.
I think that you'll like our new in store offers as they will make different albeit affordable holiday gifts for family, friends, and co-workers. Please dont wait and order early if you can.
It will be interesting to see how Wrestlemania 26 gets out of the box for Phoenix. It's a great time to be a fan. There will be several days of activities for fans making the trip to the valley of the sun. I've attended a Fiesta Bowl there and the facility is incredible.
Fedor vs. Brett Rogers is Saturday nite on CBS and I suspect this one won't get out of round one with Fedor destroying Mr. Rogers. Rogers training camp has been suspect from what I hear plus Rogers has spend valuable hours doing media.
If you drop by JR's BBQ this Friday with the gang from 1560 The Game from Houston you can enjoy our great food and get some swag signed. You cn follow the afternoon by logging on to www.1560thegame.com.
Friday Night Smackdown seemed to be a solid 2 hours with more in ring content than talk. It looks as if SD will comprise a fair amount of content for Survivor Series later this month. I sure hope that I'll be ready to go by then but that is far from probable.
Grisham and Striker are beginning to mesh as a solid broadcast duo and their efforts will continue to be a work in progress which is to be expected. I like their potential. Their progress may see yours truly assume another role TBD upon my return which works for me. I feel that I'm fortune to be able to help the team in a variety of ways. All of that is up in the air and is pure speculation until I've been medically cleared. Maybe there is a there man booth in my future especially on selected PPV's. Who knows but I for one am not concerned. Just anxious to get back in the game.
Flying on OU's team plane to Nebraska was a big thrill especially with the likes of former coach Barry Switzer, Sooner greats Joe Washington, Tom Brahaney, Greg Pruitt and others was very cool. I felt very privledged.
Several guys enjoyed our new and improved beef jerky which is bettr than it's ever been.
Take a peek at our PERSONALIZED autograph cookbook offer. I think we'll do great with that one.
My headaches are lessening in frequency but issues w/ my right eye persists and my tongue is still numb. Bells palsy just takes time and patience to heal. I'm not long on the patience aspect of that formula. Watching me eat hot soup is, admittedly, entertaining.
Have a great day and I hope to be back Sunday.
