FOUR men were caught cavorting nude in a car wash.
The men paid their $17 for a full service at the Smart Wash on Callide Street, Biloela, in Queensland, stripped off and were soaping themselves up and running about while their female companions took photographs.
Two 19-year-old men and two, 23, were caught before the system went into full cycle by a police patrol.
Police Sergeant Adrian Riecks, who was at the scene at the time, said the men were lucky the system did not fully activate because it could have caused serious injury.
Car wash attendant Jeff Dredge said the high-pressure sprayers used can remove skin.
“It will remove skin, no doubt about it,” he said.
“They could have blown an eye out of their sockets.”
Mr Dredge said the men were covering themselves with chemicals and there were young women taking photographs.
“I, thought, ‘You silly boys,’ they were just running around in front of their girlfriends,” he said.
“It (the chemicals) could have burnt their eyes off.”
The four men were charged with public nuisance and wilful exposure and will appear in Biloela court on December 14.
Sergeant Reicks said police understood people liked to have a good time but taking risks could result in injuries.
“It may have sounded fun at the time but they need to think if the risks outweighed the consequences,” he said.
