A CROOK on the run who issued a new photo of himself because he didn't like his official police mugshot has been nicked — at a hairdressers.
Image-conscious Matthew Maynard, 24, was having a quick trim when a passer-by recognised him and called cops.
Officers rushed to Taffy's barbershop in Morriston, Swansea, and caught the burglary suspect still sitting in the chair.
One said: "This just shows how stupid he is. He has his own picture plastered around and then decides to go for a trim to keep up his image.

"Perhaps he wanted to look good when he appeared in court."
Police issued a photo of Maynard to a local newspaper last week as they investigated a burglary.
But he rang to complain it was very flattering and sent in a new pose on his mobile phone of him smirking next to a police van.
A witness said of his arrest: "He was having his haircut when the police came through the door.
"Apparently he is a regular and he walked straight in even though everyone knows he is on the run.
"He was still in the chair and laughing about as the cops stormed in to haul him off.
"He is a bit of a fool - all because he wanted to look his best."
A police spokesman said: "Police investigating the whereabouts of Matthew Maynard arrested a 24-year-old male in a barber's shop in Swansea.
"The man is currently in custody at Swansea Central Police Station."
