Two British tourists in Poland's historic city of Krakow have pleaded guilty to accusations of pigeon tossing.
The two 24-year-old men have been fined for cruelty to animals after forcefully throwing the two pigeons in the air in Krakow's Renaissance market on October 24.
The apparently stunned birds were not able to open their wings and fell to the ground, breaking their wings.
Prosecutor Boguslawa Marcinkowska says a Polish court on Tuesday fined each of the men 600 zlotys (around £130) each.
She identified them as Lee James W. of Ulverston and Arron David P. of Barrow in Furness, but did not give their last names in line with Polish privacy law.
She says she does not know whether the pigeons survived.
