A Wisconsin teenager who tried to run away to Tennessee with his girlfriend in a stolen car has been given an unusual punishment by a court - which has banned him from dating anybody for the next three years without getting legal approval.
Jordan S. Christensen of Appleton, Wisconsin, to a year in jail and three years' probation last Friday. The 19-year-old's probation conditions include a demand of 'no dating of the opposite sex without permission of your probation agent.'
Which presumably leaves gay dating as an option.
According to authorities, Christensen Christensen stole his foster parents' car in may this year, and drove to Memphis in the company of his 16-year-old girlfriend.
He pled no contest to the charges of auto theft, stealing a firearm and bail jumping, and apologised for his actions.
