WWE issued a statement via their text messaging service, announcing Lashley had elevated enzymes of the liver and would be out of action until "further evaluation."
For the past several weeks, there has been discussion internally among wrestlers that Lashley may be pulled from the road, speculation that began when Finlay won the United States championship at SmackDown! several weeks back during a bout that was originally planned to feature a DQ finish according to the show's TV format.
Lashley was originally set to challenge Finlay for the United States championship in a Triple Threat match that also features William Regal. There is no indication yet of what WWE will do with that bout on Sunday's PPV.
