Johnny Hallyday has been released from a Los Angeles hospital after suffering from surgical complications.
The 66-year-old French rock star, who caught an infection during surgery for a slipped disc in Paris, was put in a coma in order to be treated.
Doctors have apparently told Hallyday that he is now able to continue his treatment at home with his wife Laeticia and two daughters.
Hallyday has suffered a series of health problems since undergoing treatment for colon cancer earlier this year.
He later sued surgeon Stephane Delajoux for "negligence" during a back operation, claiming that he had come "close to death" during the procedure.
