Former WWE executive Shane McMahon is officially no longer employed by WWE today after announcing resignation plans on October 16. McMahon announced on Oct. 16 his official resignation date would be Jan. 1.
According to WWE's latest SEC filings, McMahon still owns 43,449 shares of WWE stock at the time of his official resignation.
On December 17, McMahon cashed in 60,000 shares to receive $897,000 in gross proceeds. However, McMahon also exercised stock options to acquire 60,000 shares at a locked-in price between $12.94 and $13.45 per share.
WWE stock closed at $15.33 per share on Dec. 31. As a shareholder, McMahon still stands to profit if the company's stock price continues to remain the same or increase.
