According to Dave Meltzer, WWE officials were calling Jeff Hardy as late as 1/5 and were trying to get him to change his mind about joining TNA. Not only was this the day after Hardy appeared on Impact, but also a day after he was indicted on drug charges.
It's an interesting situation because it shows that WWE is softening their stance on the company's drug policy. It says a lot about both WWE and TNA since there was such strong interest in Hardy despite news of his indictment coming out.
