As noted before, Shawn Michaels recently appeared on KISS-FM radio in San Antonio, Texas and talked about his new DVD. Shawn also said that DX will “probably” disband after WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view so he and Triple H can focus on their matches at WrestleMania.

When asked if he had any plans on retiring, Michaels said:

“Well, that’s always the million dollar question. I’d like to go on record as saying I have been trying to retire for the last three years… [WWE] makes it very difficult, you know, Vince McMahon is nuts. I try to walk away then WrestleMania comes up, they put me in a match, I do well, and [Vince] doesn’t make it very easy.”

they won't let him retire they don't have anybody else to step into his shoes. Like I said they didn't push anybody in the last year xcept for Kingston

Shawn remains the best worker the WWE has on its roster. I imagine the WWE is keenly aware of this and will keep him in enough money to continue wrestling for a few more years.

In my opinion Shawn Michaels is the best wrestler ever! He works well with whatever guy he is put into the ring with.

He'll wrestle 'til he retires, and then he retires. Who cares what year? The guy's done more than enough, he can retire any year now as long as he has the money saved up.
