Blake Harrison has voiced his support for an Inbetweeners movie.
Last month, one of the show's writers Iain Morris confirmed to Digital Spy that a script had been written for a film adaptation of the television series.
Harrison - Neil Sutherland in the E4 teen comedy - has since told DS that he is keen to be involved.
"Nothing has been confirmed as far as I'm concerned. The rumour's been batted around for a while. The premise, if it were to happen, could be the lads outside the normal area - maybe a holiday somewhere or something.
"I think the whole idea of this being a big Brit teen comedy would be fantastic. There's not really any out and I think we could definitely fill a market because we've already got a fanbase."
He continued: "There's so many American teen comedies with the American Pie series and the Road Trip series and Superbad so I think it's about time that Britain pulled its socks up and made a really good teen comedy."
