Latest on dropping ECW

Backstage talk persists that WWE and SyFy are expected to overhaul the weekly ECW series. No specific ideas have been passed around, but some say SyFy has begun re-pushing its original idea of incorporating science fiction/alternative elements into the wrestling broadcast.

Regardless of the specific direction chosen, many still believe the ECW name and identity will ultimately be dropped.

They should keep the third brand, but I agree in the name change. They could call it Nitro, Velocity or something like that.

oh damn...bring back WCW. NITRO!!!!! haha. i know its a far fetch, but it would be kinda cool to have the WCW brand around again. Raw, Smackdown and WCW. or Nitro. I for one would mark out big time :)

i like the show some good talent on there yoshi tatsu christian ezek jackson but as the original was extreme there is no element of that hardcore style of new jack sandman type matches now a name change would be better as vince owns wcw nitro trade mark i think that he should bring back the wcw brand not sure about the sci fi element maybe bring back max moon:wink:
