During an interview with Sportsradio620.com, the Honky Tonk Man told host Bill Ali that he received a phone call from WWE asking him whether he wanted to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year during WrestleMania 26 weekend. HTM told Ali that he rejected the plans due to "prior engagements".
As we reported here on the site yesterday, Honky Tonk Man has reportedly been in talks with TNA for the past month and that he was "close" to signing a deal with the company. No word yet on if this factored into his decision.

He is stupid! As much as I don't like all of the Hall Of Famers in WWE, he is an idiot to reject the offer.
Thanx for posting!

My guess is that he's full of shit and he didn't get any offer whatsoever and is just trying to make himself sound more important than he actually is.

Talk about biting the hand that fed you. The last thing you want to do is piss off Vince McMahon. Even if he was asked, he may never get asked again.

Now IF the rumors of him signing with TNA are true this actually makes sense. Could you imagine how bat shit Vince would get if the signing news comes out the same time as HTM entering the HoF.
