SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. -- Auto Club Speedway announced today that former WWF wrestling superstar Steve Austin will serve as Honorary Starter for the Auto Club 500 on Sunday, Feb. 21. Austin, starring in the upcoming 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment film "Damage", which will be released on DVD on March 23, will get NASCAR's West Coast Premiere underway at noon PT on Sunday. "Having been a NASCAR fan for years, it is a real honor to be chosen to waive the Green Flag at Sunday's race. In "Damage", Ex-con John Brickner (Austin) turns to the world of underground fighting and at shot at a lucrative prize purse to help raise money for a little girl's heart transplant.
