The final rating for the 7/15 Saturday Night's Main Event NBC special in prime time was a 2.56 rating, or 4.13 million viewers. The show finished in 70th place out of 83 prime time shows of the four major networks that week. During its 1985-1991 run, the show never drew less than a 6.7 rating. The show only scored a 1.6 rating in Houston, a 1.5 in San Francisco, and a 1.7 in New York (which actually went head to head with Smackdown that evening). As previously reported, NBC's contract with WWE calls for four additional SNME specials.
