Jim Ross has posted a blog entry from Phoenix, Arizona, which you can check out at this link (http://www.jrsbarbq.com/blog/phoenix-update). Some highlights from this blog:

- Saw Undertaker first thing Thursday night upon arriving at our hotel. He looks amazing...lean yet massive. The big man is ready I can assure you. We spent several minutes catching up and hope to talk again before Sunday. His words to me were motivating and much appreciated.

- Caught up with Bret Hart at Starbucks here in the hotel this morning. Bret was very upbeat and was truly looking forward to his 'Mania match vs. Mr. McMadman. If Bret feels this good regarding Sunday, I'm looking forward to the conclusion of this 12+ year saga even more. For a guy that has gone through as much as Bret, he looks better than most guys half his age. I think we fans will really enjoy this legend's last bout come Sunday in the desert.

- I received one of the most touching and inspirational text messages today from Shawn Michaels that I've ever received. I was truly moved by HBK's words as it is so obvious how important Sunday's PPV match is to this future WWE HOF'er.

- This is a much different experience for me this year at 'Mania. I'm having a great time visiting with so many people that I haven't seen in too long. I'm not missing spending hours and hours preparing to broadcast the event as I've done in year's past. I'm not sure how I will feel/react come 'kickoff' time but the WM26 experience is one that has been memorable and significant for so many reasons.

Ross concludes the blog by saying he is ready for the "next phase" of his career.

I wrote this earlier in the week, but I think it is worth repeating: I have to say I am really disappointed that WWE is not using Ross as a play-by-play man for the biggest event of the year. Matches like Hart-McMahon, Undertaker-Michaels and Edge-Jericho have really great stories behind them, and would benefit from being called by Ross, who has always had a knack for conveying the history behind a bout and the emotion created by the action in the ring. I understand that Michael Cole is now their "lead announcer" but when it comes to Wrestlemania, you should be doing everything you can to make sure it is the best product you can possibly present. I have no idea what JR's role will be at Wrestlemania, but if it doesn't involve him calling some matches on the show, it is a waste of a valuable resource that the company is lucky to have.

So JR won't be at the broadcasting table for WMXXVI? Good God, that means I've to suffer Michael Cole for 4 freakin' hours!lol

I don't think that's near as bad as JR referring to himself in (sort of) the 3rd person.
