Former WWE Star Returns in a SmackDown Dark Match

Joey Mercury (Matthews) made his WWE return tonight in the dark match before the NXT and SmackDown tapings in Uncasville, CT. Mercury lost to Shelton Benjamin.

Mercury was re-signed by WWE at the end of 2009. He is expected to appear on SmackDown soon.
