WWE Releases Mickie James, Shelton Benjamin and Others

Mickie James and other WWE Superstars released

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Divas Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill as well as Superstars Shelton Benjamin, Kung Fu Naki, Slam Master J and Jimmy Wang Yang as of today, April 22, 2010. We wish them the best in all future endeavors.

WOW Mickie Katie and Shelton surprise me the most but not really so much even then . Mickie working on her country music I believe WWE tried to make her quit but she wouldn't Haas will be glad to hear Benjamin is released and Katie or hell all 3 I could see in TNA or ROH or both.

so dont expect to see him anywhere for 3 months

Damn this is upsetting. First my Maria is gone, then my Mickie James is gone. It sucks that they leave when they actually were entertaining to watch and Mickie was one of the best in the ring. Now we have to watch the few good Divas compete against a bunch of pretty faces who can barely throw a good kick.

Now Shelton Benjamin is surprising because it seemed he was a 'WWE guy' but maybe this isn't so bad. We all know he is extremely talented, and perhaps this is a way to get into TNA or possibly ROH and prove himself in a different light that WWE didn't let him.

^^ Mickie would be jobbed out in TNA easily. Her talent would be to much more use in Shimmer, and I hope she goes there.

I really hope WGTT comes to ROH. And after reading this, the dream is closer :D

Mickie should choose Shimmer because as stated she is working on a musical career as well, and I think she would have better chances to combine both wrestling and music if she goes there instead of TNA.

WGTT should go to ROH because of the fact that they won't get jobbed out by tag teams like Hall & Syxx Pac. In ROH their talent would come to a better use, as neither of them have the charisma or mic skills that TNA wants.

^^^ I wouldn't doubt it. After you tag for years you build up a bond and I'm sure Shelton took Haas' advice to heart. Now we will probably see a reunion of those two. It's just gonna take some time to see where they end up.

Shelton should have been given more time in the ring and given more chances to show himself. He was one of the most under rated wrestlers in the last couple of years IMO. I will miss Marie, she was one of the hottest divas I thought and one of the only ones I liked.

How many more chances does he need. The man was never gonna draw, had zero charisma, botched moves like never before and can't even wear his title belt properly. Good riddance to bad trash

i think he will thriive somewhere given the chance

mickie james will go back to TNA. remember everyone, thats where she came from originally. Shelton is already in talks with TNA. as far as the rest, no idea whats going to happen.

Shelton to TNA would be huge. That guy is a real in-ring talent and seems to have improved somewhat on the stick. As for Mickie James, if her singing career doesn't work out, I wouldn't mind seeing her back in TNA. And actually, Jimmy Yang would be great to have back in TNA as well. I wouldn't want him coming back as an Elvis impersonater though!
