LONDON - A large fire has broken out on the set of the James Bond movie at Britain's Pinewood studios, a spokesman for the local fire department said on Sunday.
"It's a large one," he said of the blaze at the studios in Buckinghamshire, north east of London. "We've got about 40 to 50 fire fighters on the scene. I think it started about 30 minutes ago."
He said the flames could be seen from many miles away.
Pinewood studios, which are set within a former country estate, act as the base for the James Bond films although in recent years more filming has been done on location to reduce costs.
A spokesman for the studio was unable to comment immediately on the fire on Sunday.
