We start off tonight’s show with a look back at Matt Hardy’s appearance that was interrupted by a vicious attack by Drew McIntyre. This was followed by Teddy Long’s announcement that Drew McIntyre was suspended, stripped of the title, and fired.
We are live on tape from Buffalo, New York and your announcers are Matt ‘Buffalo 66’ Striker and Todd ‘I can see Canada from the arena’ Grisham.
Teddy Long is in the ring and he has the Intercontinental Title belt on his shoulder. Teddy plays the part of ring announcer and brings out the two men who will battle for the Intercontinental Title.
Match Number One: Kofi Kingston versus Christian for the Intercontinental Title
Kofi with a kick but when he tries for a second kick but Christian blocked it and applies a waist lock on Kofi as he takes him to the mat and turns it into a front face lock. Kofi with a front face lock of his own and Christian turns it into a hammer lock. Christian with a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Christian works on the arm and then Kofi with a leg sweep for a near fall. Kofi with a side head lock and he holds on when Christian tries to send him off the ropes. Christian with a back elbow and then he punches Kofi and he hits a monkey flip but Kofi lands on his feet. Kofi with a monkey flip of his own after some counters on hip toss attempts. Christian goes to the floor and then Kofi tries for a pescado but Christian moves out of the way and gets into the ring and hits a double jump elbow to the floor and we go to commercial.
We are back and we are back in the ring with Christian working on Kofi’s neck. Kofi with forearms but Christian with a kick. Christian with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow. Christian with a flapjack and he gets a near fall. Christian with another back elbow and he gets a near fall. Christian with a reverse chin lock and Kofi punches Christian. Christian punches back but Kofi with a take down on Christian. Kofi is kicked off and Christian charges but Kofi with a pendulum kick and then he goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Kofi with chops and a drop kick. Kofi tries for the jump into the corner but Christian moves. Kofi with a leaping clothesline. Kofi tries for the Boom Drop but Christian trips him and gets a near fall on a rollup. Kofi counters with a near fall on a rollup. Christian with a punch and then he hits an electric chair drop when Kofi tries for a leap frog and he gets a near fall. Christian goes to the turnbuckles but Kofi catches Christian as he comes off and gets a jackknife cover but he can only get a near fall. Christian gets a near fall of his own. Kofi with a European uppercut and then Kofi charges into the corner and Christian gets his boots up. Christian goes up top but he misses a cross body when Kofi moves. Kofi goes up top and hits a cross body of his own to get a near fall. Kofi with a kick and then he hits the Boom drop and he sets for Trouble in Paradise but Christian blocks it and he hits an inverted DDT and gets a near fall. Christian chokes Kofi in the ropes as he stands on his back. Christian goes to the floor and he hits an uppercut. Kofi hits the SOS and gets a near fall. Kofi leaps to the corner and he punches Christian and then Christian with a pendulum kick and goes to the turnbuckles for a back elbow. Christian sets for the Killswitch but Kofi pushes Christian off. Christian with an elbow to Kofi and then he goes to the turnbuckles for a sunset flip but Kofi rolls through. Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise and gets the three count.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
After the match, Teddy gives the title belt to the new champion. Kofi and Christian shake hands as a sign of respect before Kofi celebrates on his own.
Drew McIntyre comes out and he is wearing a very white suit. Teddy wants to know what Drew McIntyre is doing coming to the ring and he tells Drew that he will have security escort him out of the building. Teddy is about to get security but Drew reaches into his jacket and gives Teddy Long an envelope. Teddy opens the envelope and reads the letter and then Teddy apologizes to Kofi and takes the title belt from one of the shortest reigning Intercontinental Champions in history. Kofi tells Teddy that he won but Teddy says that he is asking Kofi as the general manager of Smackdown. He apologizes again and Kofi finally gives the belt to Teddy.
Teddy gives the belt back to Drew and then Drew leaves the ring with his belt. Drew goes to the back while Kofi seethes in the ring.

Matt and Todd talk about what happened with the Intercontinental Title. Matt has the letter in front of him and he happens to have a house mic so he tells everyone what the letter says. Matt reads the letter that was addressed to Teddy Long and it says that Teddy Long’s actions were irresponsible and reprehensible. It says that Teddy’s abuse of power was appalling and his lack of judgment was paramount. It says that Drew McIntyre is a gentleman and an example of the future of the WWE. As the chairman of the board, the decision of last week has been overturned and he is still recognized as the Intercontinental Champion. The letter is signed by Vince McMahon.
It is time to take a look back at Big Show since he came to Smackdown.
We go to the back where a truck is opened and Jack Swagger is supervising the removal of those items. He tells them to be careful moving the items.
Match Number Two: Shad Gaspard versus Jesse Guyver
Shad sends Guyver into the corner but Jesse with forearms but Shad with a boot and then he connects with forearms. Shad with a hip lock take down and then he punches Jesse on the mat. Shad with a forearm to the back and then he chokes Jesse in the ropes. Shad sends Jesse to the mat. Jesse tries for a sunset flip but Shad picks up Jesse and hits the STO for the three count.
Winner: Shad Gaspard

Match Number Three: Montel Vontavious Porter and JTG versus Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft
JTG and Barreta start things off and they lock up. Barreta with a kick and forearm but JTG with an Irish whip and back body drop. JTG with a knee and a leap frog leg drop. Croft tries to interfere but Porter sends him to the mat. Porter and JTG clotheslines Croft and Barreta over the top rope to the floor. JTG punches Trent and then he connects with an elbow. Croft trips JTG and that allows Barreta to hit a running knee and he gets a near fall. Croft tags in and he gets a near fall. Croft with a reverse chin lock and he sends JTG into the turnbuckles and he tags Trent into the match. Trent with kicks and punches followed by a knee. Trent with a knee to the head and then he gets a near fall. Trent with a knee to choke him and then he tags Croft in and he kicks JTG. Croft kicks JTG and he tags Trent back in. They make another series of tags and Croft gets a near fall. Croft with a reverse chin lock and knees. JTG with a short arm clothesline and both men are down. Trent tags in and JTG kicks Trent off and he tags in Porter. Porter with an overhead belly-to-belly throw followed by clotheslines and he hits the facebuster. Porter with the Ballin elbow and then Croft tries to break up the cover and Porter avoids Croft. Porter sends Croft out of the ring and JTG drops Trent on the top rope and Porter hits the 305 for the three count.
Winners: JTG and Montel Vontavious Porter
We go to the locker room where the Straight Edge Society is meeting. Punk says that they hurt his feeling last week because for the first time he saw doubt in their faces. He says that he forgives them because he knows that Rey Mysterio put that doubt in their heads. He says that Rey should have blown smoke in their face or poured pills down their throats as well with his rhetoric. Punk says that they need to get the poison out and keep the doubt from their minds. He tells them that they will not be coming to the ring for his match with Rey. He says that he will show them why he is the leader. At Over the Limit, Rey’s redemption begins because it will be a long road to Rey’s salvation. They come together for a group hug.

We are back and there are trophies all over the place.
Jack Swagger comes to the ring to be reunited with all of his awards and accolades. Swagger has a huge smile on his face before he talks. He says that if he does not take this moment to do it, he will never forgive himself. Jack takes off his jacket and he does some push ups for everyone who missed them from his entrance. Swagger says that he has accomplished more in one day than most people have done in their lives. Jack says that he called his daddy and he had him pack up all of his awards and honors to share with the people in the crowd as well as the Big Show. Swagger says that one trophy is enough for most people, but that is not the way he works. We go to commercial while Jack continues to talk.
We are back and so is Jack. Jack says just over 28 years ago, his daddy celebrated his greatest achievement. The birth of a picture perfect fifteen pound, two ounce blonde haired blue eyed, future heavyweight champion. We see a photo of a young Jack in his wrestling gear. Swagger says that he won his first state wrestling title at age five. He says that he was better than everyone’s children at age five. He says that he is still better than everyone’s children. Swagger says that when you are an Eagle Scout, words like honesty, integrity, trustfulness, kind, obedient, confident, and brave mean something. Jack says that he can see that some of the people in the crowd don’t understand those words. Jack says that he still upholds the Scout’s honor with everything that he does, every day of his life. We go to the next photo and it is from when Jack won his third state wrestling title. He says that growing up, greatness was his neighbor and success was his best friend and they hung out a lot. Jack says that he was literally king of his high school. Jack puts on his crown.
At age eighteen he was the homecoming queen. He talks about his date and asks how many eighteen year olds bring a perfect ten to the prom as their date. He asks how many eighteen year olds bring a thirty-two year old brain surgeon as their date. He says that she looked good on the dance floor with him. Jack says that he was a Viennese ballroom dancing master. He says that he had time to lead his football team to its first district title in years. He says that he had offers from schools all over the country but he stayed true to his home state, Oklahoma. We see a photo of Jack with Bob Stoops. He says that he was a Cotton Bowl Champion, Big 12 Champion, Rose Bowl Champion, and Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year. Jack says that there is so much more to the All American American American American Amercian and he wants everyone to see that.
Jack says that he is a certified swim instructor. He says that he had over fourteen live wet saves as a lifeguard. He saved mediocre people so those people could continue to lead their mediocre lives. Jack asks if he sucks, why did the World Famous Perry Deli name their best selling sandwich after him. He says that it tastes delicious and tastes like freedom. Jack thanks everyone and he says that he is almost finished. Jack says that no one compares to him in a battle of wits. He mentions that he is a National Scrabble Champion. Jack says that he is also a master chess player.
Big Show comes out to the ring and he has something to say to Swagger and his many trophies. Show tells Swagger to relax and then he tells Swaggie that it is okay. He says that he came out because he says this is impressive. He says that he doesn’t even know if he can spell ‘scrabble’. Jack tells Show to get his fat Vienna sausage fingers off his stuff. Show says that his fingers aren’t fat. They might be husky or big boned and then he says that he won’t break anything. Show says that he is impressed and that he will put the Scrabble award down. Unfortunately, Show drops it and then while trying to pick it up, he steps on it.
Swagger says that Show did that on purpose. Swagger wants Show to leave so he can talk about his achievements. Show asks about the Viennese Ballroom Dancing trophy and Swagger says that he won it in 2004. Show says that he was asked to be on Dancing with the Stars but he doesn’t think that he is coordinated enough. Show picks up a trophy and starts to dance with it, but when he dips the trophy, it breaks. Show tries to kicks the broken part out of the ring so Swagger doesn’t see it.
Swagger starts to cry and then he kicks and punches Show and puts him in a front face lock. Show pushes Swagger off and then Swagger goes to the floor. Show grabs another trophy and breaks it over his knee. Show breaks another trophy and then he breaks a few more. Show turns his attention to some of the other awards and breaks them as well. Show takes Swagger’s football and he puts it into the crowd. Show takes one of the photos and knocks it into the outfield with the baseball bat. Show is about to do the same to Swagger’s photo with Bob Stoops and Jack tells him not to do it to Bob. Show doesn’t care and then once he is finished, he breaks the bat. Swagger begs for Show to leave something intact, but Show breaks some more stuff.
Show grabs the World Title belt and he holds it over his head.

We are back and Rosa Mendes is supposed to wrestle the Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, but Vickie Guerrero comes out to excuse herself. Vickie tells Rosa that she needs to leave the ring. Vickie says that as the General Manager of Raw and Official Consultant on Smackdown, that Michelle McCool has invoked her rematch clause tonight. Vickie says to make things interesting, it will be done in a two on one handicap match.
Match Number Four: Beth Phoenix versus Layla and Michelle McCool for the Women’s Title
Michelle with a kick and forearm to Beth and then she applies a side head lock. Beth with a shoulder tackle to Michelle followed by a clothesline to Layla. Michelle clips Beth and then she kicks Beth in the injured knee. Beth fights off Michelle and Layla until it turns into a two-on-one situation as they both work on the leg. Michelle uses the ropes for more damage. Michelle with a head scissors but Beth kicks Layla away and then she gets Layla and Michelle up for a double Samoan drop but Beth appears to have further injured her knee. Beth gets a near fall on Layla when Beth breaks up the cover. Beth with an Irish whip and then Michelle and Beth collide and both go down. Michelle rolls to the floor and Layla gets the three count on Beth.
Winner: Layla
After the match, Layla celebrates with Vickie and Michelle.

Match Number Five: Kane versus Chavo Guerrero
Kane tries for a choke slam but Chavo escapes. Chavo with punches and kicks to Kane. Kane sends Chavo over the top rope when Kane blocks an Irish whip attempt. Chavo drops Kane’s arm on the top rope and then he goes up top but Kane with an uppercut and Chavo goes to the floor. Chavo with a drop kick as Kane tries to re-enter the ring. Chavo with kicks but Kane with an uppercut. Kane catches Chavo off the turnbuckles and hits a choke slam for the three count.
Winner: Kane

We are back and Todd and Matt talk about what happened earlier in the show when we thought that Kofi Kingston won the Intercontinental Title. However, before the celebration could start in Prince Nana’s many mansions, Drew McIntyre came out to rain on Kofi’s parade and he used the power of being the Chosen One Version 2010 to get his title back as well as return to the Smackdown roster.
Drew goes into Teddy Long’s office and Teddy tells Drew that he really is the chosen one since he ran to the boss to get his job and title back. Teddy says that he cannot take anything away from Drew so he is going to give him something. Teddy gives Drew a match for next week because he will be wrestling the Big Show.
It is time to run through the card for Over the Limit.
Match Number Six: CM Punk versus Rey Mysterio
Punk with a back kick and another series of kicks before he goes to forearms and then he sends Rey into the ropes but Rey with kicks to Punk. Punk with a kick to Rey’s head and Rey backs into the corner. Punk with a forearm to Rey’s head but Rey with a kick and then he sends Punk to the floor with a head scissors. Rey misses a splash from the apron and Punk sends Rey into the ringside barrier. We go to commercial.
We are back and Punk has Rey in a surfboard but Rey with kicks to the head to escape. Rey with a kick and forearm to Punk followed by shoulders. Rey with a drop toe hold that sends a charging Punk into the turnbuckles. Rey goes for a move from the turnbuckles but Punk kicks Rey and Rey gets caught in the tree of woe. Punk gets a near fall. Punk with an abdominal stretch on Rey and then he lets go as Rey struggles to get up. Rey with a drop toe hold and Punk falls into the ropes but Punk recovers and then he tries for a tilt-a-whirl move but Rey lands on his feet. Punk throws Rey under the bottom rope and the referee starts his count. Punk goes out after Rey and he kicks Rey in the chest. Punk sends Rey back into the ring and then Punk sets for the springboard clothesline and he hits it and gets a near fall. Punk with a key lock but Rey with kicks to get out of the hold. Punk with a kick to Rey but Rey with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position and both men are down. Punk with an Irish whip but Rey gets his feet up when Punk charges. Rey with a seated splash from the turnbuckles but Punk with a leg lariat and he gets a near fall. Punk catapults Rey to the turnbuckles but Rey lands on the turnbuckles and then he sends Punk into the ropes with a head scissors.
Rey starts the 619 but he sees Luke Gallows at ringside and he hits a baseball slide instead. Punk uses that distraction to get a near fall with a rollup. Rey with a roundhouse kick to the head and Punk falls into the ropes. Rey hits the 619 and the diving splash from the ropes but a hooded person enters the ring and Rey goes after that person. Rey is about to hit the person and the hood comes off and it is Serena. Rey is shocked at the development and that allows the usual hooded person to enter the ring and hit Rey from behind, forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Winner: Rey Mysterio by disqualification
After the match, the hooded person hits a swinging neck breaker before Luke picks up Rey and hits the spinebuster power slam. Punk crawls over to Rey and then he holds out his arms for Luke and unnamed Straight Edge Society member to put Rey on his shoulders and Punk hits the Go To Sleep. Punk puts Rey’s hand on his chest and holds Rey’s hand up as Punk salutes the Straight Edge Society.

He asks how many eighteen year olds bring a thirty-two year old brain surgeon as their date. He says that she looked good on the dance floor with him. Jack says that he was a Viennese ballroom dancing master. He says that he had time to lead his football team to its first district title in years. He says that he had offers from schools all over the country but he stayed true to his home state, Oklahoma. We see a photo of Jack with Bob Stoops. He says that he was a Cotton Bowl Champion, Big 12 Champion, Rose Bowl Champion, and Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year. Jack says that there is so much more to the All American American American American Amercian and he wants everyone to see that.
Jack says that he is a certified swim instructor. He says that he had over fourteen live wet saves as a lifeguard. He saved mediocre people so those people could continue to lead their mediocre lives. Jack asks if he sucks, why did the World Famous Perry Deli name their best selling sandwich after him. He says that it tastes delicious and tastes like freedom. Jack thanks everyone and he says that he is almost finished. Jack says that no one compares to him in a battle of wits. He mentions that he is a National Scrabble Champion. Jack says that he is also a master chess player.
Big Show comes out to the ring and he has something to say to Swagger and his many trophies. Show tells Swagger to relax and then he tells Swaggie that it is okay. He says that he came out because he says this is impressive. He says that he doesn’t even know if he can spell ‘scrabble’. Jack tells Show to get his fat Vienna sausage fingers off his stuff. Show says that his fingers aren’t fat. They might be husky or big boned and then he says that he won’t break anything. Show says that he is impressed and that he will put the Scrabble award down. Unfortunately, Show drops it and then while trying to pick it up, he steps on it.
Swagger says that Show did that on purpose. Swagger wants Show to leave so he can talk about his achievements. Show asks about the Viennese Ballroom Dancing trophy and Swagger says that he won it in 2004. Show says that he was asked to be on Dancing with the Stars but he doesn’t think that he is coordinated enough. Show picks up a trophy and starts to dance with it, but when he dips the trophy, it breaks. Show tries to kicks the broken part out of the ring so Swagger doesn’t see it.
Swagger starts to cry and then he kicks and punches Show and puts him in a front face lock. Show pushes Swagger off and then Swagger goes to the floor. Show grabs another trophy and breaks it over his knee. Show breaks another trophy and then he breaks a few more. Show turns his attention to some of the other awards and breaks them as well. Show takes Swagger’s football and he puts it into the crowd. Show takes one of the photos and knocks it into the outfield with the baseball bat. Show is about to do the same to Swagger’s photo with Bob Stoops and Jack tells him not to do it to Bob. Show doesn’t care and then once he is finished, he breaks the bat. Swagger begs for Show to leave something intact, but Show breaks some more stuff.
Show grabs the World Title belt and he holds it over his head.

We are back and Rosa Mendes is supposed to wrestle the Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, but Vickie Guerrero comes out to excuse herself. Vickie tells Rosa that she needs to leave the ring. Vickie says that as the General Manager of Raw and Official Consultant on Smackdown, that Michelle McCool has invoked her rematch clause tonight. Vickie says to make things interesting, it will be done in a two on one handicap match.
Match Number Four: Beth Phoenix versus Layla and Michelle McCool for the Women’s Title
Michelle with a kick and forearm to Beth and then she applies a side head lock. Beth with a shoulder tackle to Michelle followed by a clothesline to Layla. Michelle clips Beth and then she kicks Beth in the injured knee. Beth fights off Michelle and Layla until it turns into a two-on-one situation as they both work on the leg. Michelle uses the ropes for more damage. Michelle with a head scissors but Beth kicks Layla away and then she gets Layla and Michelle up for a double Samoan drop but Beth appears to have further injured her knee. Beth gets a near fall on Layla when Beth breaks up the cover. Beth with an Irish whip and then Michelle and Beth collide and both go down. Michelle rolls to the floor and Layla gets the three count on Beth.
Winner: Layla
After the match, Layla celebrates with Vickie and Michelle.

Match Number Five: Kane versus Chavo Guerrero
Kane tries for a choke slam but Chavo escapes. Chavo with punches and kicks to Kane. Kane sends Chavo over the top rope when Kane blocks an Irish whip attempt. Chavo drops Kane’s arm on the top rope and then he goes up top but Kane with an uppercut and Chavo goes to the floor. Chavo with a drop kick as Kane tries to re-enter the ring. Chavo with kicks but Kane with an uppercut. Kane catches Chavo off the turnbuckles and hits a choke slam for the three count.
Winner: Kane

We are back and Todd and Matt talk about what happened earlier in the show when we thought that Kofi Kingston won the Intercontinental Title. However, before the celebration could start in Prince Nana’s many mansions, Drew McIntyre came out to rain on Kofi’s parade and he used the power of being the Chosen One Version 2010 to get his title back as well as return to the Smackdown roster.
Drew goes into Teddy Long’s office and Teddy tells Drew that he really is the chosen one since he ran to the boss to get his job and title back. Teddy says that he cannot take anything away from Drew so he is going to give him something. Teddy gives Drew a match for next week because he will be wrestling the Big Show.
It is time to run through the card for Over the Limit.
Match Number Six: CM Punk versus Rey Mysterio
Punk with a back kick and another series of kicks before he goes to forearms and then he sends Rey into the ropes but Rey with kicks to Punk. Punk with a kick to Rey’s head and Rey backs into the corner. Punk with a forearm to Rey’s head but Rey with a kick and then he sends Punk to the floor with a head scissors. Rey misses a splash from the apron and Punk sends Rey into the ringside barrier. We go to commercial.
We are back and Punk has Rey in a surfboard but Rey with kicks to the head to escape. Rey with a kick and forearm to Punk followed by shoulders. Rey with a drop toe hold that sends a charging Punk into the turnbuckles. Rey goes for a move from the turnbuckles but Punk kicks Rey and Rey gets caught in the tree of woe. Punk gets a near fall. Punk with an abdominal stretch on Rey and then he lets go as Rey struggles to get up. Rey with a drop toe hold and Punk falls into the ropes but Punk recovers and then he tries for a tilt-a-whirl move but Rey lands on his feet. Punk throws Rey under the bottom rope and the referee starts his count. Punk goes out after Rey and he kicks Rey in the chest. Punk sends Rey back into the ring and then Punk sets for the springboard clothesline and he hits it and gets a near fall. Punk with a key lock but Rey with kicks to get out of the hold. Punk with a kick to Rey but Rey with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow position and both men are down. Punk with an Irish whip but Rey gets his feet up when Punk charges. Rey with a seated splash from the turnbuckles but Punk with a leg lariat and he gets a near fall. Punk catapults Rey to the turnbuckles but Rey lands on the turnbuckles and then he sends Punk into the ropes with a head scissors.
Rey starts the 619 but he sees Luke Gallows at ringside and he hits a baseball slide instead. Punk uses that distraction to get a near fall with a rollup. Rey with a roundhouse kick to the head and Punk falls into the ropes. Rey hits the 619 and the diving splash from the ropes but a hooded person enters the ring and Rey goes after that person. Rey is about to hit the person and the hood comes off and it is Serena. Rey is shocked at the development and that allows the usual hooded person to enter the ring and hit Rey from behind, forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Winner: Rey Mysterio by disqualification
After the match, the hooded person hits a swinging neck breaker before Luke picks up Rey and hits the spinebuster power slam. Punk crawls over to Rey and then he holds out his arms for Luke and unnamed Straight Edge Society member to put Rey on his shoulders and Punk hits the Go To Sleep. Punk puts Rey’s hand on his chest and holds Rey’s hand up as Punk salutes the Straight Edge Society.
