At last night's WWE Smackdown house show in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Cody Rhodes debuted a new gimmick/look. He came out to ring side wearing a jacket that had "uncommon" written on the back of it. After an in-ring promo before his match, he asked the ring announcer to re-introduce him as "the uncommon Cody Rhodes." Rhodes then defeated Chris Masters via pin fall after hitting Cross Rhodes.

Sure its easy to give him a makeover, if only they could give him a personality that easy

"The Uncommon" Hmm shall have to wait and see on this one but if it leads to a decent push I'll likely be happy enough with it.

Sounds like a very dry gimmick.. I'd rather Goldust come to SmackDown and tag with Cody (for the short term).. Maybe have Dusty manage them for a bit.. Then have Cody turn on Goldust (maybe as Dustin at this point) and Dusty, setting up a Cody vs Goldust feud.. Goldust is one of the best workers in pro wrestling today (ask Jericho) and Goldust has charisma and personality... Cody could elarn a lot from tagging with and feuding with Goldust...

Obviously this is a play off of his dad's old gimmick. It could work. Even though I'm not really a fan of his, I'm interested to see where they take it.

Uncommon, it's odd word choice but as RJ said it's a play off of his father's gimmick. We'll have to see how this works out.
