New RAW General Manager to be Announced Next Week

It was announced during Monday’s WWE RAW Telecast that a new general manager would be introduced next Monday night. The backstage segment with Guest Host Buzz Aldrin and Vickie Guerrero featured the announcement, after she resigned last week.

The big news out of this is the fact that Canadian fans did not see this segment, as The Score cut in and out for commercial breaks, thus leaving them in the dark on the announcement of next week’s RAW.

i feel like the guest host thing is running its course...unless they can get some high profile guests (The Rock, Michael Jordan, etc.) id like to see some stability on the show in terms of a "power figure"

I would like to see some steady/weekly person, esp. since we all know none of them (hosts or GMs) are actually booking the matches... But the way they had Teddy on probation a bit, I dunno.

Yeah, but now they either have to end it immediately or never. Some big guest hosts (Rock, Tiger, Jordan) will bring ratings, & WWE has to realize they can't depend on the hosts for ratings that could also be brought by good storylines,feuds, etc.

Sponsorships are for commercial-free, not guest-hosts.

So he pays them to host, & they pay him to advertise? I think it's more what I said above, plugging their things in exchange for what they do as Hosts.

Besides, if what you said is the case, explain this week... Buzz plugs his IPhone app, & they go commercial-free.

He doesn't pay them to host; They get the chance to plug their app, foundation, etc., & that makes money, or they make money off of that.

Anyway, HBK will stay off TV a while longer, JR's talent contract is up, & Trips won't GM while he's active.

HBK himself has said he'd be away, & it's said he's enjoying retirement.
JR himself has blogged his talent contract being up means he won't be used on-air.
Past GMs proved they'll use relatives, etc. of wrestlers, but not actives.
