As reported earlier, WWE denied last week a report from wrestling author Irv Muchnick that the company fired general counsel Jared Bartie over a sexual harassment claim. Rather, WWE stated Bartie parted from the company amicably. It should be noted that WWE did not actually deny the sexual harassment claim.
Bartie was suspended after a female co-worker from the company's sales department accused him of making unwanted advances on her at a WrestleMania XXVI after-party in late March. However, the victim in question was later fired after she was reportedly caught performing an oral sex with a subordinate male employee inside the company's offices during work hours. The male employee was also fired.
In an update on Bartie's situation, the story going around is that he was in fact not fired, as WWE stated. He was said to upset when WWE suspended him, professing his innocence in the matter and feeling they were taking someone's word that wasn't true. At that point, both sides agreed to part ways.
It remains unknown whether he was wished well in his future endeavors.
