UFC Welterweight, Phil Baroni has been giving huge hints that he is about ready to retire, after a bunch of Twitter updates is making people wonder if he is ready to walk away from fighting.

Speaking via his Twitter Page, Baroni said:

“What’s life without goals[?] That’s [what] my wife asked me today. Walked out of practice. Going to W Silva gym now. Need help.”

Baroni then said a few hours later:

“Retired”

He then updated:

“Better than a Has-been than a Never-was. But better a Never-was than a Never-tried-to-be”

“Fighting is the toughest and can be the loneliest sport in the world”

Then a few hours later he updated with a different tune:

“A fighter shows who he is by what he does when he’s tested. When a person gets up and says ‘I can still do it’, he’s a fighter. We ask God to forgive us for our evil thoughts and evil temper, but rarely, if ever ask him to forgive us for our sadness.”

Baroni is likely to next fight at UFC 118 in Boston on August 28 but an opponent has yet to be confirmed. Baroni is on a two fight losing streak after his recent loss came from rising Welterweight, Amir Sadollah via Unanimous Decision at UFC 106.
