MPs have criticised the BBC after their alleged decision to offer Christine Bleakley £900,000 to stay at the corporation.
Bleakley, presenter of The One Show, recently revealed that she is torn between staying at the BBC and moving to ITV.
John Whittingdale, chairman of the Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, told The Sun: "This is public money. If she feels she can go and earn vast sums in the private sector, then good luck to her."
Conservative MP Julian Brazier added that the 2-year deal was "completely unacceptable".
Bleakley's former colleague, Adrian Chiles, moved to ITV earlier this year.
