We are live on tape from Manchester, New Hampshire and your announcers are Josh ‘Dixville Notch’ Mathews and Michael ‘Whose E-mails do I have to read tonight’ Cole. Your host is Ashley ‘Upgrade from my predecessor’ Valence.
Ashley Valence is in the ring and she welcomes everyone to NXT. She points out that the first poll is next week and we will see how the pros and the WWE Universe votes on the rookies. Ashley brings out the pros.
Match Number One: Alex Riley and the Miz versus Montel Vontavious Porter and Percy Watson
Riley and Porter start things off but Riley wants to face Watson and Watson tags in. Watson gets the crowd into the action but Riley with a kick and side head lock followed by a shoulder tackle and then he celebrates that he can connect on a shoulder tackle by sitting on the turnbuckles. They lock up and Riley with another side head lock and shoulder tackle. Watson with a drop kick or two and then he hits a drop toe hold and applies a front face lock and tags in Porter. They hit a double hip toss and then they have a brief celebration in the ring. Porter throws Riley to the floor and Miz yells at Riley on the floor and tells Riley to get back into the ring. Miz tells Riley to tag him in to show him how to do it. Watson tags in as well. Miz with punches and a suplex and Watson loses his glasses. Mizz with elbows and a crossface. Miz with a punch to Watson and then he tags Riley back in. Riley with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Miz chokes Watson while Riley and Porter distract the referee. Riley with a reverse chin lock but Watson gets to his feet and hits a jawbreaker. Porter tags in and he hits an overhead belly-to-belly throw followed by a clothesline and back elbow. Porter with a double thrust followed by a facebuster and it is time for the Ballin Elbow and he hits it. Riley holds the ropes and then he connects with a forearm but Watson and Miz tag in. Watson with a flying clothesline and then he struts and hits a corkscrew splash but Riley interferes. Porter clotheslines Riley over the top rope and both go to the floor. Miz with a hot shot and then he hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the three count.
Winners: The Miz and Alex Riley
After the match, there is some brief tension between the two teams.
Josh and Michael talk about the trust issues for the pros and rookies.
It is time for a Titus O’Neil video package. He talks about how he had some problems as a kid and he went to the Youth Ranches in Florida and that probably kept him out of jail. He talks about how he doesn’t want his kids to follow the same route. Titus talks about how he was told that he might not graduate high school but he ended up going to the University of Florida and being part of their Hall of Fame. He talks about being able to coach kids because he wants to be able to inspire kids. He wants to be the best and he says that he is the next breakout star.
Michael Cole wants to talk about the assault on Vince McMahon from last night’s Raw and we will see the footage later and we will get an update.

We are back and Michael talks about how WWE is very important for his family. He says that he called his mother about his first win last week and they were both emotional and he will never forget about it.
Match Number Two: Titus O’Neil with Zack Ryder versus Michael McGillicutty with Kofi Kingston
Michael sends O’Neil into the corner and O’Neil returns the favor. Michael with a punch and O’Neil sends Michael into the corner again. O’Neil with a series of Irish whips and he gets a near fall. O’Neil with a clothesline and then he applies a reverse chin lock. Michael with punches and O’Neil with a back body drop followed by a slam. O’Neil tries for a splash but he lands on Michael’s knees and McGillicutty with a swinging neck breaker for the three count.
Winner: Michael McGillicutty
We are told by Cole and Mathews that the voting starts next week at 10:00 pm.
We go to commercial with a look at the tale of the tape for Kaval versus Eli Cottonwood.
Match Number Three: Kaval with Layla and Michelle McCool versus Eli Cottonwood with John Morrison
Kaval with a kick to the legs and then they lock up. Kaval kicks Eli in the corner and then he tries for a spinning kick but Eli stays on his feet. Eli sends Kaval face first into the turnbuckles and then he kicks Kaval. Eli walks across Kaval’s chest and then he puts Kaval in a bear hug. Kaval with punches and Eli puts Kaval on the top turnbuckle. Kaval with a cross arm breaker in the ropes and then he kicks Eli from the turnbuckles. Kaval lands on his feet and then he hits a springboard spin kick but Eli stays on his feet. Eli tosses Kaval over the top rope and he lands on the apron. Kaval with a kick and then he hits a springboard double stomp to the back of the neck and he gets a near fall with Eli kicking out emphatically. Kaval goes to the apron again and Eli catches Kaval by the throat and Eli with a face plant for the three count.

We have a video package for Lucky Cannon. He talks about a few close calls he had. In 2004, he got a call from a friend and he went to help him out but he was hit in the back of the head with a lead pipe. He was in a coma for three weeks. He talks about having to learn how to walk and talk again. He says that he learned through his father that no matter how hard things are you don’t throw in the towel. He says that he was excited about being announced as a part of NXT. He says that he believes in luck, but that has nothing to do with him becoming the next break out star.
We go to commercial and we are told that when we come back, we will see what happened on Raw.
We are back and Michelle and Layla try to cheer up Kaval. They tell him that the third time is the charm. They want to know if Kaval is with them. They have a gift for Kaval and they tell him to close his eyes. They have a pink Property of LayCool shirt for him and Kaval says that he doesn’t know what to say. Kaval asks if he has to wear it. They tell Kaval to turn his frown upside down.
Matt Striker joins Cole and Mathews and we see footage from last week when Cody Rhodes became a hero for many after he attacked Matt Striker when Matt asked the wrong question. Matt says that he is going to chalk it up to Cody being put on the spot by Mark Henry and he says that it is all about the rookies.
We go to footage from last night when Vince McMahon was in the middle of a circle of NXThugs and the subsequent attack that looked a lot like the attack on John Cena but in a clean ring.
Michael Cole says that the McMahon’s have denied comment. Cole has an e-mail statement from the General Manager and he said that the actions will be met with the appropriate consequences.
Cody tells Lucky that they are going to do something different. He says that he told Lucky last week he would be lucky to beat him in five minutes. Cody says that Lucky’s luck will run out in that time.
Match Number Four: Cody Rhodes with Husky Harris versus Lucky Cannon with Mark Henry
They lock up and Rhodes backs Cannon into the corner and he points at the clock as Cody breaks the hold. Cody with a hammer lock and knees to the midsection. Cannon with a forearm but Rhodes with a forearm of his own followed by a side head lock take down. Lucky with a head scissors but Cody escapes and he hits a drop kick and Cannon rolls to the floor. Rhodes punches Lucky on the floor and then he connects with a forearm and then he sends Cannon into the ring. Cannon with a double leg take down and he punches Rhodes but Rhodes with a cravate. Rhodes with the laces of his boots across the face. Rhodes with an elbow to the head and then he has Cannon in a modified Gory Special. Cannon with a rollup for a two count. Cannon with forearms followed by a flap jack and he gets a near fall. Cannon with a forearm but Cody with a kick. Cannon with a big boot and he gets a near fall. Cannon with a punch to the head but Cody with an Irish whip but Cody with a roundhouse kick after Cannon floats over. Rhodes with CrossRhodes for the three count.

Alex Riley is first and he says that after what he did so far, he won’t need the time. He wants to know if he looks familiar. He says that ten years ago, he was stuffing the nerds in lockers and stealing their money. Now he is getting paid to beat up losers on a show called WWE NXT.
Kaval is next and he is wearing his Property of LayCool shirt. Kaval smiles and he says ten years ago he tried to get in the door known as the WWE and they told him he was too small. Ten years have passed and he is standing in the ring on NXT. He will be the next breakout star and he will show it is not the size of the fighter . . . but he gets buzzed off.
Titus O’Neil says that has had to work like each and every one of y’all. He was a Hall of Famer at Florida and he is a college graduate. In the end, he will make it a win.
Michael McGillicutty says that he made it a win but why should he be the next breakout star. Unlike the rest, he possesses no weakness and he is undefeated.
Eli Cottonwood is next and he says that he is the next breakout star because he is willing to do what nobody else will do. He is patient. He will lie in the weeds and wait in the shadows and he will strike with vengeance. He says that his actions will speak louder than his words.
Percy Watson says that he likes to have a good time and he says that he is a heavy hitter and he isn’t a quitter. He says that he is getting better all the time.
Lucky Cannon says that his whole life he has been called Lucky and it is because he wakes up every morning. He is lucky because he gets to do what he loves to do. He is lucky because he lives in a country that allows him to do this. He says that he is WWE’s next breakout star.
Husky Harris is the last rookie. He says that he doesn’t need the time and he hits Matt Striker from behind and then hits a back senton on Striker.
