The former X Factor judge will share hosting duties on the new daytime programme with Roseanne's Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete from Celebrity Apprentice, Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur, Leah Remini of The King Of Queens and Julie Chen, who hosts The Early Show.
The daily CBS show will replace soap opera As The World Turns, which concludes its 54-year run in September.
Gilbert developed the programme, which has not yet been named.
A specific launch date has not been announced.
