Cheryl Cole has reportedly been offered £500,000 to pose nude for Playboy.
According to the Daily Star, the magazine hoped to help launch the 27-year-old's career in the US by offering her a centrefold shoot.
However, she has apparently refused the offer, insisting that she is "fundamentally opposed" to the idea.
“Cheryl is incredibly flattered by the offer but she’s always been fundamentally opposed to going nude in magazines," a source said.
“She reckons it’s great if other girls can do it, but it really isn’t her. People won’t believe it but she is actually incredibly shy when it comes to all that stuff.”
The insider added: “Cheryl has a fortune of £10m. It’s not like she needs the money.”
Friends of Cole's have reportedly been worried about her heavy workload so soon after recovering from malaria.
