Paris Hilton has accepted a plea bargain in her Las Vegas cocaine charge.
The 29-year-old was arrested on August 28 with boyfriend Cy Waits and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after police found the illegal drug in her purse.
According to the terms of the deal, Hilton will plead guilty to two counts of misdemeanour drug possession and misdemeanour obstructing an officer. In turn, she will avoid jail and serve only one year of probation, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The deal reads: "Defendant shall stay out of trouble. Defendant agrees that an arrest for any charge, excluding minor traffic violations for which a citation is issued, shall result in the immediate termination of her probation and the execution of the suspended sentences."
Hilton will also pay a $2,000 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.
Nevada's Clark County District Attorney David Roger said: "We fashioned a resolution which would give us complete control over her future. If she does not toe the line and stay out of trouble she will do one year in the Clark County Detention Center."
