The Associated Press has a story today where they talk about a new ad launched by Linda McMahon's US Senate opponent Richard Blumenthal. The ad, which debuted yesterday, accuses her of of working to kill steroid and drug testing laws in various states. The ad also accuses McMahon of trying to "duck taxes, kill steroid and drug testing laws, and avoid health and safety protections for her workers." Most of this happened years ago when WWE admitted that they were entertainment, not sport, as a means to avoid paying taxes to athletic commissions and exposing their workers to testing by said commissions. Honestly, who can blame them? They aren't sport and I don't know anyone that wants to pay more taxes than they have to. They also have a comprehensive drug testing program in place so Linda can refute this one pretty easily if she chooses to.

HHH made an appearance at the National Association of Convenience Stores convention in Atlanta, GA on Wednesday. He was there pitching Venom energy drinks and signed a lot of autographs.

Terri Bey sent word that tickets went on sale yesterday for the Dec. 7th Smackdown taping in Dayton, OH. They advertised The Undertaker, Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Kane, Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio in a six man match. It looks like a dark match to me. Interesting to see that the plan is to keep Edge as a babyface.

Blumenthal is getting desperate. Between coming across as a "bought" man and getting caught on film lying about serving in Vietnam his numbers are tanking.
