With tickets for Wrestlemania 27 going on sale on 11/13, World Wrestling Entertainment trumpeted the news that their flagship PPV brought $45.1 million into the local Phoenix, Arizona economy this past Spring.
An article in the Phoenix Republic noted that a study estimated that 63% of the fans attending WrestleMania were from outside the Phoenix. 53% stayed three of more nights.
"We believe that $45.1 million is an exceptional result against a worldwide and domestic economy that is still healing itself," John Saboor, senior vice president of special events for World Wrestling Entertainment, told The Republic.
