The MTV website reports that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena are among the frontrunners for the starring role in the next "Superman" movie. The site was quick to point out that it's merely rumors at this point, and "True Blood" actor Joe Manganiello recently shot down rumors that he was negotiating for the role. Not going to happen. DC & Warner Bros are not going to let this happen. They are looking to reboot the franchise and make it as successful as Batman. Chris Nolan and his brother are overseeing production and they aren't going to cast a wrestler for the role.

The strange thing is, why don't they just take the guy from Smallville and let him do it. I mean, he's already playing Superman, already has the look and people see him in the role. Why not just take the leap from the Small screen to the Big Screen.
