Guillermo Del Toro, the guy behind Pan's Labyrinth, is working on a Lovecraftian horror game with THQ and it's bound to be awesome. Lovecraftian horror is all about psychological horror with a heavy emphasis on the unknown and the supernatural. Del Toro's work with the horror genre in the past leads me to believe if anyone is the perfect choice for tackling this subgenre, it's Guillermo Del Toro.
We've reported on this game before and its expected 2013 release date makes this news a little surprising: Del Toro's unannounced game will be revealed at the Spike VGAs next month. When speaking about his game the director described it as "horror...but it's a very different type of horror game." I usually skip the VGAs since it's more of a predictable popularity contest, but this might be reason enough to check them out this year.
