Hey guys, it's subscriber and friendly American Forces Network reporter Petty Officer Dustin Diaz.
Anyway I just got back from tonight's Tribute to the Troops goodwill event. Vince McMahon, Big Show, Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly are all here at Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan.
They got in yesterday and did a meet and greet, which I didn't attend, then today, they went to some forward operating bases in the area to meet troops. By tonight's event, they were all clearly pretty run-down from the travel and pace.
Right before dinner, where I met up with their group, Kandahar was hit with a rocket attack. Once the all-clear went off, I met them at the dining facility, then we went to the USO. I interviewed all four of them for the story I am doing and they all had great things to say, especially Big Show, who got very emotional when talking about what visiting deployed troops means to him.
Then they spent a good hour meeting a lot of excited troops from every branch, taking pictures and shaking hands with everybody. Vince in particular was very engaged and happy to meet everyone. Anyway the event was a big hit; if you want, I can send you a link to my story when it gets online on Monday.
