WWE got something of a break with the rescheduled New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game tonight. After it was postponed yesterday due to the roof at the Metrodome collapsing under the weight of about 18 inches of snow (and as an aside, shouldn't they plan for heavy snow in Minnesota?), the NFL announced that the game would take place at 8:00 p.m. tonight. It will now start at 7:20 and will still compete with the three-hour Slammy edition of Raw, but at least should end in time for viewers to switch over for the last 30 minutes of the three hour show if they choose to. The game will air in the New York and Minnesota markets and on DirecTV for those who pay for the Sunday Ticket package. The regular Monday night game, which features a somewhat lackluster Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans match-up, airs in its usual spot on ESPN.
The Miz is doing a lot of local publicity on New Orleans today to promote tonight's edition of Raw. One of them will be on the CBS affiliate's news broadcast.
Kaval is waiting on results of the MRI he had on his ankle last week.
