We discussed this on the Raw post game show last night, but wanted to mention it here as well. The mystery behind the story of Howard Stern regular "Jeff the Drunk" allegedly being a Raw Guest Host was revealed. He had been claiming at the time that he would be doing a segment with Steve Austin, which was news for Austin, who publicly shot down that he would be on the show.
As it turned out, Jeff was fooled by someone posing as Ron Simmons and Josh Mathews and tricked into believing he was booked for the Raw taping in Albany, NY last month, only to find out when he showed up that WWE had no idea who he was and none of the tickets that were promised for his family were left at the box office.
Jeff went off on the Stern show on WWE for wasting his time, at which point the company responded, noting that Jeff would have been the "last personality" on Stern that the company would use. Simmons doesn't even work for the company anymore and Mathews has nothing to do with booking outside talent.
