*SPOILERS* New World Title Contender and Possible Face Turn at SD Tapings

During tonight's WWE SmackDown taping that will air this coming Friday night on the SyFy network, it appeared that Drew McIntyre may have turned face. After the match between Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool (which Kelly lost), both McCool and Layla attacked Kelly, which caused McIntyre to hit the ring and clear LayCool from it to save Kelly.

As of right now, there is no official word on whether or not this means a face turn for McIntyre, but we will continue to keep you updated as we learn more.

At tonight's WWE SmackDown taping, Dolph Ziggler became the new number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship after winning what became a Fatal 4 Way match against Big Show, Drew McIntyre, and Cody Rhodes.

Ziggler, who lost the Intercontinental Championship to Kofi Kingston earlier in the night, was a late addition to the match thanks to Vickie Guerrero, as the match was originally a Triple Threat Match.

Ziggler is not Main Event material. He is a good wrestler, but he should get rid of his silly gimmick and Vickie.

Also kinda stupid to move him up the ranks after losing to Kofi

Ziggler the number one contender? That's great, didn't expect that to happen so soon. He won't win, of course, but I think he and Edge can have a good little feud that will truly put him over and into a main eventer.

Ziggler losing the title is a sign of good things for him, look at all the others who have held gold then lost it at the right time, Miz
lost the US title, then what happened? He moved into the main event scene and won the WWE Title, John Cena lost the US title to win the WWE Title 2005. Jeff Hardy lost the Intercontinental title to move into the Main Event scene etc
