View Full Version : Disney Shifts Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' to October 2012

It was recently announced that Winona Ryder and Martin Landau will voice roles in Frankenweenie, Tim Burton's stop-motion animated Disney feature based on his 1984 short about a man who reanimates his dog after it gets hit by a car. Ryder will play the role of Elsa, while Landau will provide the voice of Mr. Rzykruski. Martin Short and Catherine O'Hara take on the voices of five characters each. Short plays Bob, Nassor, Toshiaki, Victor's Dad and Mr. Bergermeister. O'Hara voices Edgar, Weird Girl, Victor's Mom, and Gym Teacher. Ryder starred for Burton in Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice. Landau won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Bela Lugosi in Burton's Ed Wood. Short appeared in Burton's Mars Attacks! O'Hara appeared in Burton's Beetlejuice and provided a voice in A Nightmare Before Christmas. Scripted by John August, the pic's now slated for release by Walt Disney Pictures on October 5, 2012.
