The Bryce Jordan Center was between half and three-quarters full. Very rowdy crowd, though. Mostly college kids.
(1) U.S. champion Daniel Bryan beat Ted DiBiase (w/Maryse), William Regal, and Tyson Kidd in a four-way match to retain the U.S. Title. Very much a spotfest. Bryan won with LeBell Lock on DiBiase.
(2) New Nexus (Husky Harris & Joe Hennig & David Otunga w/Mason Ryan) beat Mark Henry & Kozlov & Yoshi Tatsu in a six-man tag match. Decent match. It seemed very difficult for the Nexuys guys to do anything with Henry, as he towered over everyone, including Husky. Nexus won after outside interference from Ryan.
Sheamus came out through his own entrance and talked about how much better he was than everyone else (funny).
(3) John Morrison beat Sheamus. Solid match between these two. A guy to the left of us kept chanting boring throughout this one, though. Morrison won with an odd slam off the top rope.
[Intermission. The place cleared out when the audience was informed there were autographed John Cena DVDs available for $20.00.]
(4) Eve & Gail Kim & Tamina beat Maryse & Alicia Fox & Melina. Eve pinned Melina for the win.
Next, Cena came out to the biggest pop of the night. (It still doesn't compare to the pop for Steve Austin back in the late '90s!) C.M. Punk then made his entrance with Nexus and he tossed a shirt into the crowd. Figures, I was the only person with a Nexus t-shirt already on in our section. The Raw GM buzzes and kicks out Nexus from ringside.
(5) John Cena beat C.M. Punk. Punk ran around for a few minutes before entering the ring and starting the match. Decent back and forth action from the two. Cena won after he caught Punk in the air from a cross body and turned it into the Attitude Adjustment. Again, big pop. Cena signed autographs and shook hands. Some people started to leave at this point.
(6) WWE champion The Miz beat Randy Orton to retain the WWE Title. Miz won after interference from Riley. Decent match from the two.
The Raw GM sounded and sent Miz to the back and Riley into the ring to face Orton.
(7) Randy Orton beat Alex Riley. Orton beat him up for maybe 3-4 minutes and hit the RKO for the win. Miz ran out and got RKO'd too. Orton posed for the crowd to send everyone home happy.
Biggest Pops:
(1) Cena
(2) Orton
(3) Daniel Bryan
Honorable Mention: Maryse when she took off a Ted Dibiase t-shirt.
Most Heat:
(1) C.M. Punk. (He took shots at Penn St. coach Joe Paterno, which got him instant heat.)
(2) The Miz
(3) New Nexus
