LINDSAY Lohan is being sued by a tanning company who claim she owes them over $40,000.
Tanning Vegas — run by entrepreneur Lorit Simon — allege they had the actress as a client from 2007 to 2009 and she has an outstanding bill of $41,031 which she hasn’t paid.
In addition to the unpaid debt, Lorit is also demanding the payment of her legal fees and interest incurred on the amount.
It is not the first time Lindsay has got into a dispute with the Las Vegas businesswoman. In 2009, she was involved in a legal case with her about the formula for her own fake tan brand Sevin Nyne.
Meanwhile, troubled Lindsay — who only left a three month court-ordered rehabilitation stay a month ago — could get up to three-and-a-half years in jail for violating the terms of her probation in relation to the alleged theft of a $2,500 necklace.
Attorney Susan Filan believes the 24-year-old actress — who claims she simply borrowed the jewelery — will face charges of grand theft larceny, but will not head to jail straight away.
“Lindsay will probably be arraigned and booked for two charges: violation of probation, for which she faces six months, and grand theft larceny, for which she faces up to three years in state prison. Together, she could face up to three-and-a-half years,” she said.
“Right now, only her grand larceny charge is reported as scheduled for Wednesday, but her violation of probation is sure to follow.”
She added it was likely the Los Angeles Airport Court would view the alleged crime “seriously” as Lindsay has been pictured wearing the jewelery.
“Wednesday is just the kick-off,” she said. “Just because she’s not being convicted and sentenced on Wednesday doesn’t mean this isn’t serious and she couldn’t go to jail. In fact, I think the judge will sentence her to the full six months that she owes on the violation of her probation.
“Something like this where it’s on video, the necklace is in the case, it’s on her neck, it’s not in the case, it’s pictured on her neck on the Internet … It’s much harder to say that she didn’t violate her probation.”
