On Monday night, Chris Jericho was a panelist on Fox News Channel’s Red Eye hosted by Greg Gutfeld.

Chris was also on to talk about his new autobiography ‘Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1372 Easy Steps’. Chris was asked about the title and he said that he won the World Title in his 1372nd match. He said that he kept a log of all of his matches. He talked about how it was a continuation of his prior book. He talked about how he started his career by working in Japan, Germany, Mexico, England, and Canada. He said that his dream was to work in the WWE for Vince McMahon and it took nine years for him to get there. Chris said that it was a travelogue of how he was able to make his dream come true. This book is the continuation of what happened once he got to the WWE.

Chris was asked about what type of job offers he received while he was struggling that might be considered perverse or weird. Greg pointed out that Chris is in great shape and his services were probably desired by wealthy men. Chris got a good laugh out of the question and then Greg clarified that he was talking about workout tips like you would find in the back of Muscle & Fitness for ‘posing’. Chris says that one time when he was living in Vancouver and he walked down the street and saw a payphone ringing. Chris said that he decided to be a smartass and answer the phone. Chris says that the person on the phone wanted him to come up to his room and box. Chris says that the guy was on the seventh floor of the apartment building and he figured that it was a bunch of guys trolling the streets. Chris says that he probably outsmarted himself in that situation.

Chris says that it was during the lean years.

Chris was asked which celebrity that he met was the biggest jerk. Chris says that he had a job to co-host the TV Guide Fashion Report on the red carpet for the Emmys with Joan Rivers. He says that he waited for two hours for Joan to pitch to him but she never did. He says that he talked to her after the show and she told him that she was going to pitch to him but they never asked her to do it and she didn’t know what to do. He says that Joan offered to send him an autographed picture of her.

Chris was also asked about Fozzy. Chris says that when he was a kid, he had two dreams. One was to be a wrestler and the other was to be in a rock band. Chris says that he had a passion for both and he played in bands when he was fourteen. He says that wrestling was what took off first, but he continued to play music. He has been playing with Fozzy for eleven years and he said that he has toured the world seven or eight times.

Chris was asked to describe Fozzy’s music and he says that it is heavy stuff but melodic. Chris then said that if Journey was mixed with Pantera. Chris then threw out the image of Steve Perry singing with Pantera.

Chris was then asked about playing at the Download Festival in Donington (in 2005) in front of twenty-five thousand people. Chris mentioned that they played with Black Sabbath and System of a Down at that concert.

Chris said that it was cool that he was on top of the wrestling world while at the same time he was playing concerts in front of dozens of people with Fozzy. He said that he still had the passion to do both.

Chris was asked if he would allow any of his three children to go into professional wrestling. Chris said that when he was nineteen and said that he wanted to be a wrestler, everyone laughed at him. Chris said that his pastor mentioned to the congregation that Chris was going to Calgary to become a wrestler. Chris gestured that the people were snickering at his plans but then he would get revenge on all of them (while saying it in a funny voice).

You can do anything in life and the only people that tell you can’t do something are people who have already failed. Chris said that he would give them all of the support to follow their dreams.
