Jeff Hardy is scheduled to return to Superior Court in Moore County, NC today to finalize his expected plea bargain stemming from his September 2009 arrest on a myriad of drug charges.

Once we hear more on the hearing, we will update.

---

Jeff Hardy's latest court hearing took place this morning and if you were betting on another continuance, you would be correct.
We
reported this morning that the hearing has been pushed back to 3/16 as Hardy's attorney was unavailable today due to his responsibilities in another case, where he is defending a client accused of murder.

I thought he had made a deal? what are they waiting for?

Is his lawyer using the wookie defense?

I'm beginning to think that the prosecution doesn't have a whole lot on him so he may not even do any jail time because yes, court cases take a long time bout they haven't even made their opening statements. All they do at the court house is say that they need more time and they get a continuance. IMO he will cop a deal and do very little if not no time.

This is standard posturing from lawyers. You think they become rich because they are effecient? And for those that don't know... You can't be thrown in jail or put on house arrest unless they have completed a trial. (Despite what subscribers to a wrestling forum may want.) It's called Habeus Corpus, and it can only be waived if the person is accused of terrorism, and cannot be waived for any United States Citizen. So go bash him for being a drug addict and a goofy wrestler, but when it comes to law... just shut up.

If this had been a regular Joe Schmoe he'd have been put in jail a long time ago, however this a pro athlete (even though he's just a wrestler) that we're talking about, so these things always keep going on and on like the energizer bunny...hopefully it'll be cleared up next month, but don't hold your breath on that one either!

Aj has a pretty big fan base man of the die hard TNA fans and with him being face and having more moves in his arsenal he will win the new fan base over also and RVD had a ripper of a match with matt hardy now hes set to fued with Jeff. difference is these were mid card fueds in WWE and are main event in TNA but I think when they were mid card in WWE they were better than what was going on in the main event 9 times out of 10 lol

It's not because of his gimmick, I don't know of anyone who liked Hardy before he turned heel who don't like him now. My personal dislike for him began when he fucked up all the chances he was given in the WWE due to drugs and he just seemed to lose all respect for the wrestling business and started to no longer care and it caused me to lose respect for him. I suspect a lot of people have similar stories, but I don't think there's anyone who completely turned on him just for turning heel and I don't think it has anything to do with that.

yeah but name one person who undertakes a 15 year career and doesnt get over it!! people on the net are quick to judge hardy but look at how many times he has sacrificed his body to entertain you while you sit on your ass and watch everyones entitled to there opinion but the things some of you guys say I dont think your in any position to be so harsh on someone whos given 90 percent of there life in the last 15 years to entertain you.

How many chances should one person get...the WWE gave him so many chances that they finally realized he was never going to change so they cut ties with him, and then TNA picked up the rejects of the WWE, and now TNA is dealing with the same crap from him that the WWE had to deal with from Jeff Hardy's drug problem! It really makes the company look bad when their supposedly top star gets busted for multiple drug charges time after time...it's apparent that Jeff Hardy could care less about changing his ways as he keeps getting busted for the same thing over and over again! It's time for him to man up, and take responsibility for his actions and start to make a change, esp now that he has a baby! That's all any of the TNA fans want really and for him to enter himself into drug rehab...drug rehab is what he really needs not the TNA WORLD Heavy Weight Title!

He left on his terms despite having had an offer for extension that is not cutting ties. He's been busted for drugs once not over and over again.

As for Swinny's comment about not caring nobody in TNA does they're all looting the money mark Dixie Carter :P

It's not just this case it's how it often goes particularly when there is some form of notoriety about the defendant.

Is a ridiculous system when it can take months and months just to get around to sentencing but such is life.

As far as personal opinions on Jeff Hardy go Ive always found him to be very overrated due mainly to his moveset being that attention grabbing high spot style.

I'm fairly indifferent on him personally. Never been amongst my favourites but he's always been around.

That being said TLC matches, the hardcore title match against RVD at Invasion and more recently his match against Angle at No Surrender were excellent and although I haven't seen it yet his match against CM Punk in 2009 was said to be excellent also.

Whether you like him personally or not, he doesn't have to be a favourite of yours but you should respect the work he does in the ring as he is capable of putting on some entertaining matches.
